Auto Industry Bailout

Do I support it? In a word, NO! Did anyone else notice it is just the “Big Three” asking or DEMANDING help? GM, Ford, and Chrysler. Notice Volkswagen, Hyundai, Honda, and Toyota aren’t going under. Maybe if “The Big Three” would have gotten off their asses YEARS ago and made their cars more fuel efficient, and DEPENDABLE more people would have bought them-instead, Americans have been buying cars that are more dependable, and with almost twice the fuel economy. Now you gotta ask yourselves, who are the morons, the idiots at the companies that didn’t bother to think ahead, or the idiots that are rewarding them with a back-up plan (Americans)? Think about it! I know, I know, thousands of jobs will be lost, and that totally sucks, but I say let “The Big Three” go under…maybe Toyota or Volkswagen can pick up their plants at auction for $1.50 each.

Sharing

Sharing is always a big issue in our house. Charlie doesn’t want to share his toys, Ruthie doesn’t want to share hers, so most of my days are filled with “She took my” and “Waaaaaaah” and me yelling “Share that with your Sister/Brother”. It’s nice though, when one is asleep, they don’t mind sharing their things, and when their both asleep…this happens…

I need more practice, but it’s a neat feature. If you look at the blanket there are orange areas, I could have focused it better, yes, but I think it’s a really neat in-camera feature. Thanks Sig for recommending Canon, I LOVE this new camera!

I’m sure some of you are wondering why my daughter has no pants/dress on. The answer is because I couldn’t get her to keep them on! I tried, Lordy did I ever try, but it was just futile. She wanted to be pants-free so it would be easier to potty, or at least that’s my rationality for it. I had the most beautiful dresses for the girls to wear, and cute outfit for Charlie, and none of them would wear any of it! Now, I could have forced Lily, BUT she would have been the only one dressed up and I didn’t want her to feel like a nerd ;o) So, they’re in what they’re in…and I have photos to bring out for her wedding slideshow someday FAAAAAAAAR in the future!

Oh Santa, How We Love Thee…

My Trio With Santa

We went to see Santa for the last time yesterday! Despite their being a blizzard, and almost white-out conditions, we trekked to the mall and got it done! While in line Ruthie was jumping up and down and yelling “Santa! Santa” with extreme excitement, and trying desperately to see him over the railing. Charlie was waving at him, and was so excited that Santa waved back! I’m certain they will have a wonderful Christmas Eve celebration at Grandma and Grandpa’s tonight, and that tomorrow morning their eyes will twinkle with delight that Santa has not forgotten to bring the gifts they asked them for. Merry Christmas Everyone!

The Weather Outside Is Frightful…

And Chris, Charlie, and Ruthie went out and played in it! We had about 8-10″ of snow depending on who you ask in this house <Wink>, and it piled up quite nicely in our yard, and unfortunately on our driveway! This is the storm that first dropped snow in Southern CA, Las Vegas, AZ, and other areas that almost don’t know what snow is. Here are some photos of our winter weather!

Lily @ 4 Months

Sunday, December 21st, 2008

I can’t believe I’m writing this, but Lily is now over 4 months old. She is getting so big, and growing so fast! Here are her stats:

Weight: 12lbs 15oz (24th%)

Height: 25″ (65th%)

Head Circumference: 15 3/4″ (14th%)

She is up from Weight 15%, Height 17%, but down for Head which was 31% at her last checkup (2 mo). Overall she seems to be switching up to a similar growth pattern of her Big Brother, Charlie. She is very tall, and is even wearing some 6-9mo outfits already! Her closet is overflowing with 3-6 because Ruthie was in them until she was almost 7 mo old, but I believe Lily will be out of them before she reaches 6mo! Our next checkup will be at 6 months, and I will update on her growth stats then. She had 3 more shots, and the 2nd dose of Rotavirus. She should now be protected from that horrible virus, and hopefully will continue with no reactions to her shots!

She is now eating cereal 2x’s daily, and starting veggies. She is talking and scooting, and getting more interactive with all of us! Her head control is good, and she is pushing up on her belly. She has mastered the Bumbo seat and enjoys sitting up in it for at least an hour at a time. She has the tray, so she also enjoys looking at toys, and hands that are placed on or under it. She’s getting to know some new textures, and is exploring more in the world around her. It’s so exciting! We still have to get a good photo with Santa, and I have professional pics coming in the 22nd, I will update the blog with them when I get them!
