Charlie’s new school picture arrived! Look how much he’s changed since last year! My little man is growing up so fast! It’s hard to believe that he will be 5 in April and will be starting Kindergarten next fall.

Lily is doing great! She’s smiling now and is much more interactive! Her eyes were sort of a blue/grey at birth are now more blue, and I think they are only getting lighter every day. I think she is going to have blue eyes like Ruthie and I, what to you think? If you stick your tongue out at her, be prepared for her to do it back! She’s really growing fast and her legs are so long she’s in 3-6 months already! She has very few 0-3 months that still fit her! My girl is growing up…sigh, they grow so fast! I’m enjoying every second with my Littlest Princess though, and basking in the glory of every newborn snuggle!

My precious little ones. Today I took you for a Halloween photo shoot. It was our first one-ever, but a new portrait studio opened down the street and I had a special coupon for the holiday. I decided we would go tat 5 so it wouldn’t cause a nap conflict and everyone would be fed and happy. Unfortunately, Ruthie, your nap ran late and you cried and crabbed from the time I woke you up at 4PM until they snapped the last of the 27 pictures. Yes, I said 27. In some you were crying, in some you were frowning, and in most others you were doing “The Elvis”. I think you did that look when you were an hour old, and sweetie, you still got it! We did get you to smile though, with the promise of a sucker. Mommy delivered, you and your brother each got a sucker when we were through. Charlie, you were such a helpful boy today! It amazes me how grown up you are for 4 years old. You are smart and compassionate and you know how to manipulate your sister to smile between cries. You held Lily without a complaint and kissed her little head. You shushed her when you thought she was going to cry and rocked her while the adults worked with Ruthie. Always a ham for the camera you delighted us with smile after smile. We didn’t have a single poor picture of you! Thank You for being You! Lily, you are, and were a perfect little angel. You didn’t cry once and looked right at the camera. The only bad picture was the one where you blinked and looked like we drugged you. In the end,we got a beautiful family photo of the three of you that I shall treasure forever. My Dark Knight, My Snow White, and my delicious little Tootsie Roll!
I Love You My Little Darlings,
Happy Halloween!
Love,
Mommy
The doctor was really pleased with Ruthie today! She has grown over 2 and 1/2in since her 18 mo and gained more than 2lbs. She is talking, but not putting words together yet, so he said to watch her for the next 3 months. If she’s not talking he will evaluate her for speech therapy…I am not at all worried. Anyway, here’s her stats:
your child is 24.7 pounds, and that is
at the 22th percentile for weight.
your child is 33 inches, and that is
at the 25th percentile for height.
your child has a head circumference of 19 inches, and that is
at the 69th percentile for head circumference.
She’s short, she’s thin, and she has a big ole head…tell me something I don’t know…LOL!
Hugs,
Sabrina
